Renting kayaks from SUP & Saddle Bike Tours was a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth rental process. Kayaking in the bay offered stunning views and serene waters, making it a perfect outdoor adventure. A must-do activity for anyone visiting the area!
We bought the Go City pass that included an all day bike rental. When we arrived they did not tell us that the “holiday” (July 5th) could only be one hour and we’d have to pay for the rest of the day HOURLY. The girl had me start filling out the rental information and never said a word. Thank God my husband noticed their janky hand written sign before I completed the transaction. The young girl working was so rude as well.
Biking around Coronado was an awesome adventure for my family and I. The SupAndSaddle bikes are super nice and the team was really friendly. We rode around the neighborhoods and had lunch at the Del. Its a must-do for any san diego tourist or local like myself!
Excellent bike and kayak experience. All of the staff were so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. If you’re looking for a fun day on Coronado, this is definitely the place to be!
Amazing experience. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a larger group and they worked extremely well with us and gave us a great deal. Would highly recommend!
Company was good! We felt the town was not bike friendly. There were some bike lanes in street but felt like traffic was going to run you over. Several sidewalks can’t ride them on and the ones you can people are everywhere and don’t move or walk to the right.
The first half of our ride was great until the electric bike that I was on ran out of juice and had to actually ride the bike which wasn't a big deal and we texted the attendant to let him know that. When we got back I was expecting to get at least a discount on the rental but nothing was mentioned. If I wanted to “ride” an electronic bike I would have gotten a regular one. Overall it was a nice experience.
We rented 3 e-bikes for a ride around Coronado Island. The employees there were very patient with teaching 3 middle age women how to navigate the island as well as how to make sure the bikes didn’t end up in the ocean. We had such a great time and we would absolutely rent from SUP & Saddle again.
Very disorganized and haphazard- employees got us bikes but offered zero assistance beyond that. They sent us on our way, and then we realized how much more we needed! We had to ask for seat to be adjusted- their special wrench was needed. We had to ask for helmets. We had to ask for map! None of that was offered- we had to be knowledgeable and bold enough to ask.Once we finally got settled with the bikes, the ride around Coronado was wonderful!
Super friendly, super helpful, check in was a breeze and the equipment worked wonderfully. Had a blast and SUP & Saddle made it happen for us. Would definitely go back again. Weather was beautiful too.
Really appreciated the staff getting us two bikes with sufficient power after lunch time so we could ride the bike lanes over to Hotel Del and back. Great location and reasonable prices.
Amazing service and staff and always ready to take care of your needs. Bikes are in great condition and ready to go. I’ve been renting from them for a while and have had any issues with the bikes.
A great experience renting a bicycle. It was an easy process (I was a walk-in). I had my bike and helmet within 5 minutes of showing up. No issues with using a GoCity pass. The man who helped me was so nice and helped me with the seat height adjustment. Highly recommend. Don't try to walk this island. It's much bigger than it appears and you'll cover way more ground.
Great kayaking trip. The guides were a lot of fun and very informative. It was amazing to be able to go inside the cave with sea lions swimming around. Highly recommend. Next time I'm in the San Diego area I'm going to book the snorkeling trip as well.
We had a great time and would recommend the tour to others! Ruby, Ben and Zach made it fun and safe. We enjoyed the 2 mile trek to see the sea lions, caves and beauty of the ocean. My only recommendations would be some sort of microphone or bull horn. Unless our kayak was up front, we couldn’t hear some of the instructions or stories. I also wish our tour guides would take pictures of each boat while kayaking and send the pictures to us since most people don’t want to take their phones on the kayak.
Great tour, Anna and Vanessa were awesome. Very knowledgeable, helped one of my kids who was hesitant by talking to them and explaining how safe we were! Thanks Bike's and Kayaks? Was a memorable experience
We decided to do the Snorkeling/Kayaking tour while visiting San Diego. Let me tell you -- it was amazing. I've never kayaked before & the guides made me feel very comfortable & confident in doing so. It was HARD in the ocean but fun. The view are amazing. HIGHLY recommend this activity with this bunch! Our guides were AMAZING!
Wonderful last minute experience!!! Gabe & Kelani provided great tips for kayaking. They also were very knowledgeable & insightful. We were able to go inside the caves & safety was always a priority. Would do this again !!
The website indicated that the tour would be 1.5 hours and you would see 7 caves. The tour had 2 guides for 15 kayaks. The guides only took us to 1 cave and then we went back. When I asked about the other 6 caves he pointed to the cliffside and said they are in there. The beach and shop staff were more interested in talking to eachother than welcoming customers. For a business that caters to tourist, they do not treat them warmly.
Our tour guide, Maddie, was THE best! We were lucky enough to have a tour with a guide that knew the area well and loves the area! It was so exciting to come up on an area that had so many leopard sharks to see!
Super fun experience! Great tour guide who knew when to talk and when to be quiet so that we could hear and enjoy the wildlife. Id recommend purchasing an additional hour to just float around and enjoy the scenery.
We usually rent from the competition but on this day decided to try SUP (means stand-up paddleboard) & Saddle. All went smoothly for all four of us. Baskets and locks included. They adjusted my seat higher before we left. Locks included which we used at the Hotel Del.We rented for three hours and were 30 minutes late, but they were cool and did not charge the extra hour. Also my wife bought a surf top shirt after... excellent quality.
I booked the Leopard Shark Adventure at Bike and Kayak in La Jolla... and I had an absolutely AMAZING time in the water. My guide, Maddy, was also AMAZING. It was great to share the experience with someone who just as into it and enthusiastic about it as I was. 5 Stars for the tour and another 5 Stars for Maddy. I can't wait to come back and do the cave kayak tour.(Side note, the entire staff at Bike and Kayak were super friendly and a pleasure to meet).Overall, a fantastic experience all around, definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
Had a great time touring the 7 caves, I believe our tour guide who was Demetri and I can’t recall the female name but both did great job. Would highly recommend. Sep 1; 1615pm tour
My girlfriend and I had never been kayaking before. The tour guides Mitch and Michael were very knowledgeable and provided useful instructions and tips for us. We thought we did ok for our first time kayaking (we didn’t fall out, so that’s a plus). Snorkeling through the caves was pretty cool. Overall we had a great time and would recommend it to others.
Great bikes. Great pricing. Great service. Beautiful riding area. The only negative is that the portion of the bike path at the end of the loop, to the North, does not allow bikes! We were looking forward to that scenery of the city.
One of the best experiences that I’ve had in San Diego! Anna was such an amazing tour guide!! I recommend making your booking here, I will definitely be coming back!
We rented a tandem kayak and took the 90 minute wildlife tour - it was awesome! Izzy and Dimitri were so funny and entertaining, and we saw lots of wildlife - leopard sharks, a manta ray, so many sea lions - it was really fun and totally manageable for inexperienced kayakers. Highly recommend - we would definitely go back next time we're in the area.
It was an easy process from checking in, getting a life vest to going in the water. There were people to help out at every station. It was a fun experience! It was a stress reliever and it was just so peaceful. Loved it! 10/10 recommend.
We booked a kayak rental the night before. The next day before our rental started, we had a death in the family and had to rush out of town. They told us their 24 hour cancel policy wouldn’t allowed a refund. Are you kidding me? This place is far from professional. Any good business would be understanding. Choose another option l, there are plenty of others.
For the best location for Bike rentals, they need to upgrade there bikes, very clunky old school electric bikes. They can do much better, come on make a effort.
Oh man AVOID. We showed up at 3:20 PM (they close at 6) and were told we couldn’t rent any kayaks or stand up paddle boards because “it takes too long to put them away.” I’m sorry, if you won’t rent us anything over 2.5 hours before you supposedly close you need to change your hours. Absolute ridiculous and unprofessional. And yes, the rental would’ve only been for 90 minutes.
Stay away from this place. Don't rent from here as they can't even show up to open their doors on time. Went there this morning 12/8/22 at 10:45 and they were not open. Hours posted on the door tells u they r open on Thursdays from 10:30am to 4pm. I guess they r just too good to actually open on time.
The man who helped us was extremely unhelpful. He first told us we couldn’t add a burley to our electric bike and a nice lady informed us we actually could. Once given the bikes we started riding only to find out 2/6 bikes were about to die one bikes tire was almost flat and the other bike did not go over 15mph when the rest of the bikes went 24mph. We had to return to the shop to fix all the issues in the middle of the ride. The same man then complained to a coworker that we came back with “too many questions”. Then when we went back out one of our bikes died and he had to petal all the way back with the burley attached carrying two kids. The same man again asked how our ride was and when we said it died in us he said “oh sorry” then went back to work. Very unprofessional and not helpful at all. The ride was fun while we were out but too many difficulties. Definitely don’t recommend.
Nice enough location and a lovely bike loop, but this shop has terrible safety standards. Most of the helmets had something wrong with them. One of the ones we ended up taking was missing the foam inside that keeps it in place so the fit was completely unsafe. It was probably the fifth helmet we tried on before giving up on getting a safe helmet. Similarly, all the brakes were loose enough to squeeze them to the handlebar before they engaged. I tried at least 3 bikes before giving up, and one of the staff had to leave to go deliver a bike to another customer that had brake issues. Staff watched us try on unsafe gear and did nothing to fix it except give us a new, equally unsafe option. I don't think gear is maintained at all, as the gear that we deemed unsafe was just added to the rest of the rental pile. I said something to staff at the end of the tour and nothing was done to rectify the situation.
Ask if they have an air pump to fill air in the tires. They didn't have an air pump at a bike rental shop!!! Ours were pretty flat which made for difficult riding. The employees were helpful and nice but our experience was not good.
Our tour guide was really good, but they tell you to come 45 minutes early so we did. After signing a waiver and getting a locker we were told to walk around for 30-40 minutes. 45 minutes early seems very excessive. Otherwise, it was good.
Great location, but literally the worst bike I have ever rented. And I have rented many, many bikes. They gave me a beach cruiser that was likely older than I am. Brakes barely worked. Seat wobbled. The bike kept listing to one side. The bike lock fell apart when I tried to lock it.I’ve rented from this place before, years ago, and had a great experience, with salespeople who knew bikes and knew the island. This time I had teenagers who couldn’t answer my questions, didn’t have any maps, and gave me a bike that I wouldn’t let my kid ride, even for free. Won’t be back.
My husband was in San Diego for meetings and a small group of spouses of attendees went on a bike tour of Coronado with Bike and Kayak Tours. We had different bikes, mine was old school and I had to remember how to stop by pedaling backwards. Some bikes had handbrakes, one had gears. Our guides, Spencer and Ben were helpful and accomdating. They were knowledgable about Coronado. They were patient as some of us had not ridden bikes in some time. We were each given a large bottled water and had the option for helmets. We need to cut our time short a bit to catch the ferry back due to a dinner reservation but they adjusted the tour and when one person asked about seeing the Hotel Del up close, they said we would be back about 15 minutes later than planned but still in time for the ferry. It was a great stop to see the hotel and the beautiful beach. One guide would stay out in the street to make sure we all crossed safely and one was always with the last person in the group. Would definately consider using them again on a future visit.
18 days after I emailed them and 8 days after I texted them and no response. We rented electric bikes in Coronado on 9/30/21. I didn't know why I was having such a hard time when I first got on, and then I fell. I tried riding again, but still had trouble. My boyfriend then noticed that the chain was off. I took it back and was given another bike. At that point, I tried but I was too scared I was going to fall again. I was told there were no refunds. My boyfriend enjoyed his experience, but given the circumstances and the fact that I fell because I was given a dangerous defective bike, I strongly believe I should receive a refund for my portion of the rental.
My friend had the worst time getting clarification on a change in her kayaking appointment. The employee working the phone on 9/27/21 at around 9am was very short with her, condescending, and refused to help clarify when she was having her paddle boarding session. He did the same when her boyfriend called to also figure out what had happened to their appointment.Just about the worst customer service. They weren't able to make their session... how do they go about a refund or a rescheduling without speaking to the same person who didn't want to be at work?
Tyler & Gabe- the best. Had a great time, they were very knowledgeable & helpful. We had a great time!!! The whole staff from getting information & booking the tour, to the staff that was helping to push out the kayak & get us out there safely, to grabbing kayak on the way in. Everyone was very friendly & seemed to enjoy what they did.
Took my daughter for her birthday and can not express enough how great the staff was. Sam and Claudia took us out and their knowledge of the area was remarkable. I highly recommend the tour. We felt safe and enjoyed the entire tour. Thanks for taking care of our family and showing us the beauty of LA Jolla.
Fantastic professional place in Sunny San Diego I do recommend this place and Chloe Beautiful young lady works there she’s very helpful and humble so if you guys choose to go there ask for Chloe she will help you. Thank you Chloe. ?☺️?
Great experience overall. The tour lasted almost two hours but went by very quickly. I'd recommend this for locals as well, as you get some amazing views of the skyline.
The staff were very friendly and the tour was great! We had Luke as our tour guide and even though it was our first time kayaking, he made us feel very comfortable!
It was a nice little kayak tour, very nice way to see the city from a different angle. I did the quick 2 hour kayak tour around the bay. Worth the time and price. The staff were mellow guys, very friendly and helpful. My tour guide Luke was great. I happened to be the only person on the tour, so made for a unique experience. I'm guessing most (at least weekday tours) are all pretty small and personable.
