⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Medieval Times Dinner and Show was absolutely phenomenal! The knights' battles were thrilling, and the horses were stunning. The food was delicious and plentiful. As some in our party were plus-sized, the staff took special care to ensure our comfort, even allowing us to test the seating before the arena filled up. We appreciated the thoughtful accommodations and ultimately found the arena seats spacious enough. Special thanks to manager Israel, who went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and added a personal touch to our experience. Highly recommend for a fun and unique night out!

**An Unforgettable Journey Back in Time!**I recently had the pleasure of visiting Medieval Times, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment you step through the doors, you’re transported to an era of knights, castles, and grand tournaments. The attention to detail in the decor and atmosphere is astounding, making you feel like you’ve truly stepped into a medieval castle. The show itself is a breathtaking display of skill, courage, and chivalry. The knights are incredible, performing feats of horsemanship and swordplay that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The jousting was thrilling, with each clash of lances sending shivers down the spine. The story woven throughout the performance adds an extra layer of drama and excitement, making you root for your knight with all your heart. But it’s not just the action that makes Medieval Times a must-see—the food is equally impressive! The feast is a hearty, delicious spread that perfectly complements the medieval theme. Eating with your hands, just like in the olden days, adds to the authenticity and fun of the experience. The staff are all wonderfully in character, enhancing the immersive experience. From the serving wenches to the castle’s royalty, everyone plays their part to perfection, ensuring that every guest feels like they’re part of the story.Overall, Medieval Times is an incredible experience for all ages. Whether you’re a history buff, a fan of epic tales, or just looking for a night of unique entertainment, this is an experience you won’t want to miss. It’s a perfect blend of history, drama, and excitement—a true feast for the senses. I can’t wait to go back and cheer on my knight once again!

Epic dinner and show! Always a fun place! Jousting, knights fighting, and animal performances. These animals are taken care of and not treated like circus animals. Food was good, they do not provide utensils as they did not use them in actual medieval times. The 1/2 chicken was NOT microwaved as I've read in other reviews! They also can cater to certain dietary needs, just make sure to let them know before the dinner begins. Alcoholic beverages were good as well

The first time I went as an adult was last weekend for my dads birthday. I felt like the price was pricey but once you get to the show it’s worth it. There is beautiful horses, food, drinks, gift shop and a wonderful action performance. I would go again for a family outing or birthday celebration. I hope the horses are well taken care of because the show wouldn’t be the same without them.

Really enjoyed this show and food! The horses and knights were really fun and cool looking. Drinks on offer were very tasty, only thing I'd like better would be for the food to be served together instead of one piece at a time. My soup got cold by the time my bread got to me. But it still tasted great and was a fun time. Definitely geared towards kids so as an adult it was one and done for me unless I had kids.

This was such an amazing experience for the whole family. The show was so exciting for my 5 year old, he was shaking with excitement watching the knights. The horses were gorgeous and so talented. It was a show we all loved. I would highly recommend taking the whole family, worth every penny! The food was good, not great but eating with your hands was a huge hit with my kids. The chicken was delicious, sides are okay. Definitely enough food to be full from. Service was great as well. Lots to look at before the show.

Such a tournament of a lifetime! It’s a surprise it didn’t smell horsey in the arena. The casts and the horses were fabulous and the service was great. I really liked the food they provided, especially the corn and the hot tomato soup

My husband treated me to my very first dinner and a show! The atmosphere was great and our server was phenomenal! The only thing I have that is negative to report would be the food. The tomato bisque soup was canned tomato soup with basil. My favorite soup is tomato bisque so you could imagine my disappointment when my first taste reminded me of Campbell's tomato soup made with water, not milk! The chicken was tender and for the most part juicy but it was served kind of on the cold side. The potatoes were delicious and seasoned well, I could have made a meal just off the potatoes and been quite satisfied. Desert was a frozen eclair that you could get from the frozen foods section of walmart. The price of admission for 2 people totalled $147.00, I guess I had higher expectations in regards to the food, but it really was a wonderful immersive experience that everyone should try at least once in their lives. Great experience for kids and the horses were beautiful!! I have to admit, I was a little surprised and saddened to see some of the riders using spurs on their boots when riding the horses. I also disagree with having the horses tethered while they were in their respective stalls, unable to get to their water or be able to lay down in between shows. They do look like they are well cared for and groomed regularly. I would absolutely attend another show and recommend to anyone looking for a fun evening out by themselves or with their families!

I’ve wanted to go ever since I saw the movie Cable Guy in 1996. Now that I’m a grown up with kids to raise (who haven’t seen Cable Guy) I thought it would be fun to go. Did not disappoint. Food was good, staff was friendly and interactive but not overly so to where you feel weird. The show was great. Some basic horse riding and games involving horses at first but then the combat sports which were awesome. If you’re going to be in the area it’s a lot of fun especially for kids.

This was overall good although the food was lacking any flavor and whatever the red stuff was, it was on all the food, the chicken was not good, it was dry and lacking any flavor, I had to try to use some of the seasonings from the potato, which was probably the best thing there to eat besides the tomato soup. The show was decent and helped with the lack of food especially for the kids, who barely ate anything because it was not very good and the portion was too much for kids, should offer smaller portions or something else for kids. I am giving it a 4 star because of the show not the food, kids really enjoyed their time there.

From parking to seating and the entire event; we had an absolute blast with an amazing crew. I heard in the past that there were complaints of people being ushered out before they could finish their food but we did not experience that. We had ample time to eat and enjoy the show and when the plates were being picked up, we were given the options of to go boxes which was great since it was a lot of food for us to eat. Overall an amazing time and I will be returning with visiting family members.

Location:Good, Parking: Good, Service: Good, Dinner show: fun to watch. Dinner: Simple Fare (tomato soup, garlic toast, half a chicken, small corn on the cob, potato wedge ) They do work to support vegan and others with food allergies. Overall: This was the second time I have been here and I did notice some changes that seem to make the experience a bit better from the first. The meal itself was better as the chicken seemed rotisserie and not baked which reduced the dryness. Using steam to reduce the dust from the center stage was also helpful to reduce allergy issues. We did buy the low VIP package, which gave my granddaughter a nice memento and a decent view of the arena. Now, will I go back a 3rd time? Sure, it was a fun show and my family had a fun time . So for this program that began in 1983. I give it 4.5 stars...

Our server was amazing and attentive. We did have a minor issue with one staff member who rushed us out after the show. We had someone in a wheelchair, and it took her a bit of time to get from our front-row seats to where her scooter was being held. She needed some time to catch her breath due to SOPD, but the staff member wouldn't listen to our explanation. Besides the tomato soup and garlic bread, the food was mostly mediocre. However, the atmosphere is always great and the show remains entertaining. I definitely recommend people try this place and experience it for themselves.

Medieval Times & Tournament is a captivating dining experience that transports you back to a bygone era of chivalry and valor. From the moment you step inside, the staff's warm hospitality sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The cleanliness of the establishment adds to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the food. Each dish is prepared with care, offering a taste of medieval fare fit for a king. But what truly sets this place apart is the immersive entertainment provided by the knights tournament. As you feast, you're treated to a thrilling spectacle of combat and pageantry, making you feel like a noble in the midst of the action. The energy in the air as guests cheer for their chosen champion adds an exciting element to the dining experience.Overall, Medieval Times & Tournament never fails to deliver a fantastic time. I booked general admission tickets for a party of 12 for my kid's 18th birthday. Always wanted to go & check it out. It was a good experience. The food was decent, you get a soup and bread ( which our bread came out about 45 minutes after the soup ) you get the main meal ( we got chicken, a potato and corn ) which was good! Especially the potato! Drinks which one of my kids didn't gets hers for a good 45 minutes. Coffee and dessert. Which was also good. The server we had was very slow or maybe just overly busy but our food came out slow. We were given a piece at a time and it would take 15 to 20 minutes just to get the next piece...I prefer to eat my food all together. As expected the extras are pricey. No matter where you sit you have a great view. The show was awesome and horses are beautiful. All in all, I would probably return.

I thought this was a FANTASTIC show!!! I really loved how they interacted with the crowd and how the moment you enter MT, they would immerse you from that era! I thought everyone was great and treated us well! There are lots of souvenirs to choose from and at the end of the show, the cast will come out for a photo shoot! I would watch this a second time!*An important note that the price you pay to enter does NOT include gratuity. And from what my family has experienced, the servers worked very hard! So please don't forget to show your appreciation which can either be done by cash or through Venmo, which the server will provide at the end.Thank you MT for making it so much enjoyable for my family!

My friend has always wanted to come here. We came for her birthday and we were a group of 13. They are very accommodating. They have vegetarian and vegan options available. They also take allergies into account when asking about dinner options. The show was entertaining, the dinner consists of a tomato bisque, garlic bread, a generous portion of chicken, herb potato, corn, an eclair and vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. They had Pepsi and diet Pepsi as options to drink along with lemonade and water. I got full, so they offered me a to go box to take the rest of my meal home. Had lots of fun. My friend wad knighted for her birthday. Will come back!

This is a fantastic place that takes place in a fantasy setting. The actors and their choreography are spot on. They immerse you into medieval times and transport you to an awesome display of horsemanship, weapon fighting, falconry, jousting, hand-to-hand fighting, pageantry, and royal court!I completely and whole heartedly recommend this wonderful place of entertainment, food, and so much fun.I have loved DnD since I was a young boy. This place was exactly as I imagined. Actually, it was far superior to what I thought this place could achieve. My only regret is that I did not come here a lot sooner.I and my friends will be coming here again, most definitely!

Came here to celebrate kids bdays. They had a blast. Our waitress role played with them and they believed they were eating baby dragons. Adults loved the horses. The place was surprisingly clean and not dusty. I expected to smell the animals but it was very minimal. We will definitely bring the kids back. Only complaint was the bathroom. They smelled strong of urine and there only seemed to be one.

Great place for the family. Fun filled, action packed experience. Great example of dinner and a show. Food was really good, really not much of a selection, what they serve is really the only thing you get. But it's a lot of fun for everyone. Customer service is good, everything is served in portions so that's really the only time you see your server, but they do try to be as attentive as possible. I would recommend this for a family dinner and a show.

I recently visited the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla after reading some promising reviews and seeing photos that made it look like a great experience. Unfortunately, my visit was quite disappointing.First, the price of admission seemed steep for what the aquarium offers. You can tour the entire place in less than 20 minutes, as there isn't much to see. The exhibits were underwhelming and didn't offer much in terms of variety or engagement.Additionally, I was surprised to see that the aquarium allows visitors to walk around with alcoholic beverages. While I'm not one to judge, it was concerning to see parents strolling with bottles of wine and glasses filled to the brim while their children ran around unsupervised. It felt inappropriate for a family-friendly environment and detracted from the overall experience.Living in a beach town myself, I'm familiar with aquariums, and I can confidently say that the Birch Aquarium doesn't compare to others I've visited. The experience fell short in many ways, and I would recommend lowering the admission price to better reflect the value offered.Overall, I left feeling that my visit was more of a donation than an enjoyable outing. If you're looking for entertainment or a memorable experience, I would suggest looking elsewhere

A super fun dinner experience with excellent quality entertainment and effects. Great staff and audience participation opportunities. Good action in the entertainment. The food was good enough and fun to eat with your hands. It’s very immersive and gets you into character. I was impressed the tomato soup came out piping hot in a medieval looking thermos and the flavour was great. The roast chicken was just average and the white meat was very dry and stringy but still edible. The potato was also dry. The corn on the cob was good and had lots of corn flavour. The chocolate eclair and coffee at the end was also nice. Everything was good but I would say that the horses look sad in the stable and I am unsure if they get to go run around in green pastures once in a while because I didn’t see a green field outside and I don’t know if they get taken to run around somewhere else on occasion. Otherwise, I would still recommend this experience as it’s done very well.

Plan to eat with your hands! In medieval times, they didn't have forks and steak knives. The food was pretty good! Roasted Dragon (tastes like half a chicken), corn on the cob and tasty roasted potato...no variations unless you let them know you don't eat meat or have allergies. It's a visually beautiful, authentic experience with a powerful queen and some gorgeous horsemanship. Turns grown men into 9 year boys. Very fun to experience. We upgraded to VIP and were glad we did for photo taking.

First time seeing the Medieval Times and it did not disappoint. I came here for the experience so I didn’t really expect much for the food. The food was filling. Soup was cold, Chicken didn’t have any flavor but huge, corn tasted good and dessert was great. Your meal comes with fountain drinks or water. They also sell other drinks. The drinks were good but a little pricey. The show itself was entertaining. Family friendly. Kid friendly. It was a bit too scripted but overall, a great experience. There were ample of free parking spots. They sell souvenirs and you also get to meet the cast and take photo ops after the show. I am aware about the strike and I hope they get to settle it. Also, it is unfortunate that the horses are tied up and crumpled up in a small space. Other than that, it was okay.

The show was great, it was all a great setup and I like how they interact with the crowd. All the servers were also dressed as pirates and they were very nice and helpful. The food wasn't the greatest, it's nice that they have vegan and vegetarian options, but the veggies taste like the frozen kind you buy in a bag. Also, the onion rings tasted old/stale. The garlic fries were good. For the salad they have ranch or Italian dressings and the drinks are refilled throughout the show. Overall, it is a Pirate Dinner Adventure, they got the Pirate part down, the dinner could be a little better.

Amazing dinner show with fantastic serving staff, actors, trained animals, and atmosphere! My husband and I drove to California for our honeymoon, and this was a fun stop we wanted to try! You get assigned a color/knight, so whether you end up in the winning group or not is purely based on luck. Maybe you'd be able to switch colors if you asked, but I'm sure the staff has a planned seating arrangement ahead of time.We got the VIP package, so we also got photos taken at the front, which were delivered to us at our table around the end of dinner. We were given 2 copies and they were framed in a themed border, which was super cute and great for sentimentality! As far as the food goes, it was alright, a bit more on the plain side. But this isn't really the type or place you go to for fine dining, it's really all about the show. But regarding the show- it was full of energy and so fun to watch/ participate in! Our Blue Knight was amazing (and also the winner of the evening) and engaged with the crowd both during the show and afterward to sign autographs. My only gripe is that some of the horse tricks seemed a little 'intense'. As a huge animal lover, a couple of them turned me off a bit, but I'm also not hugely educated on the matter to say any of them were wrong or harmful. Just thought it was worth mentioning if that's a big soft spot for you!All in all, it's something you'd go to experience once every few years for special events. It's definitely great for memory making and letting loose a little!

When I came, their employees were protesting in front of the entrance because the business mistreats the horses and their employees, I think. I can't say what's true but I do feel sad for the horses being locked up in cages. If I could go back, I wouldn't have watched the show. The show is sort of intertaining. Some of the actors were not really good. I'm guessing they had to replace a couple if actors last minute because some of them were protesting. It's an interesting idea but I don't think it's worth the price. Dinner was included but it wasn't good at all. Since the food wasn't good and the service was just okay, we didn't tip much. The server indirectly demanded more tip which I didn't like.

Came here for the second time, separated about about 25 years. To see this as an adult was a lot of fun, if you are the kind of person that is going to get into it and play along, then you will really enjoy yourself.Only disappointing thing was the food, it was pretty bad. They serve food in such a weird way, one item at a time. First comes the soup, then 10 minutes later came bread, then about 5 minutes late came chicken. Then another 5 or so minutes and one potato came, then another 5 minutes and the corn came. It wasn't quick, it was hot, it wasn't tasty. Most of the items were over cooked. The soup was the best thing provided in the evening. Now, ofcourse you probably aren't coming here for the food, but the whole dining service was pretty bad. Our beers took about 30 minutes to show up, show was almost over.Show was fun and overall I'm happy we went, just don't expect the food to be a selling point on the whole experience.

So fun! We decided to get tickets and go on a whim while we were visiting California for theme park fun. And we were so impressed! The entire atmosphere from the moment you enter is so quirky and fun. On the tickets, they tell you to arrive an hour early, and that's really just to enjoy the 'castle lobby' before they open the dining/arena area ... which, if you don't want to spend any money, then DONT go early. LOL. There are a bunch of trinkets for purchase from magnets, flags, pins, etc. And then SO MANY swords & wands are ALL the glowing/light up things. The bar can be pricey, but they have yummy drinks (including virgin slushies for the kiddos) and fun collectible take-home cups. The show was really great - actors & animals were fantastic - and our server was fabulous. The food is pretty good for the large quantities they make. It's worth it to get the package that includes a picture, cake, and a flag because you get better seats, and the picture is a fun keepsake item. ONE NOTE: Bring a sweater or blanket if you get cold easily because the temperature in the dining/arena area is kept very chilly.

What an exciting show. Four significant items that made my experience not so memorable.1. Food was not served as a complete dish. The first round was tomato soup, which sat for a few minutes. Not knowing what to do, I drank most of it, and the bread came after. The chicken was served with no sides, just plain Chicken. 5-10 minutes later came the corn and potato. What a disappointment.2. Forced to purchase. The family photos were pushed to the guests during the show. The associate came to our row during the show and interrupted the experience and meal.3. WOKE! 1 out of the 6 knights were of a different race, which we commonly see in today's culture. And guess who won the challenge? It ruined my experience, which caused the #44. Forced to give gratuity. The server came up and said, "Cash or Card," like he was entitled to receive. I originally had my card in the receipt envelope to give gratuity, but once it became evident of the company's WOKE mindset, I removed my card and decided not to provide any gratuity in my frustration. I regret not giving gratuity now since it is not the associates' doing, and I apologize.Overall, I don't see myself supporting this company anymore because of the above, and I will share my experience with others.

We went today and we loved the show. The actors, servers, staff, horses and animals were all lovely. Everyone did an awesome job. I loved seeing how nice the staff was to the horses. I am so glad we went. Such a fun time! We will go back again.

The show was really fun and exciting to watch and we got to cheer our knight. Our group was the yellow group and it looked best and gentle to the eye; thanks God that we were not in the red light.Luckily, our knight was the best one; he was acting very well, charming and frequently interacting with his audience group. I felt like we were in the ancient movies. The server was attentive and nice (and you're gonna be expected to tip quite generous for this service)Food was a lot but so bad to our taste, it was below average in our opinions. We had plenty of leftovers. Our server gave us two big boxes for to go but we did not bring home any 'cause we had no appetite to eat it again. However, we liked the lemonade juice, it tasted refreshed and tasty.I like how they decorated their building and looking at my posted pictures and videos here you can tell the ambiance looks really beautiful and cool.Parking was plentiful.Something we noticed at the entrance was the strike. The previous actors there were on strikes trying to tell other people that their ex-employer abused them and all the horses. Not sure if it's true or not but we could see how sad and depressed the horses looked. We enjoyed the show but also felt bad afterwards.

My group and I sorta stumbled onto this place at the end of our vacation, and I'm glad we did! There is a fun lobby/waiting area where you can get drinks (bought my souvenir horn there) with lots to look at. After that, they take and seat you into an arena and then treated to a myriad of entertainment including horse performances, jousting, sword fights and more ?While this is all going on youre served a multi course meal, we had tomato soup and garlic bread, roast chicken with corn and potatos, and dessert plus coffee at the end. Everything tasted good, enhanced a fair bit because of the experience itself. They were also able to accommodate my gluten free group member ?And the servers do an excellent job of taking care of you without interrupting the show, ours was fantastic.

I recently went to Medieval Times with a group of friends and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The show was spectacular, full of action-packed jousts, sword fights, and amazing horsemanship. It was an incredible experience to see knights in full armor compete with each other on horses. The venue itself is also a great place to celebrate a birthday party. The atmosphere was festive and lively, with a great sense of camaraderie from all the guests. The staff were helpful and friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed. While the food was okay, it was still a fun experience to eat with our hands like they did in medieval times. We all enjoyed the chicken, potatoes, and soup.Overall, I would highly recommend a trip to Medieval Times for anyone looking for a great experience and an incredible show. It's perfect for birthday parties or any special occasion, and you're sure to have an unforgettable time.

I haven’t been to Medieval Times in years. Mateo our server was the cat’s pajamas! We had a hard time fitting in the seats and felt like we were sitting on the floor. Mateo hooked us up with a table after we asked him and he got approval. We had the best service. The food was hot and chicken juicy, the potatoes a little under cooked and the corn was a little mushy. I thought the garlic bread and tomato soup paired nicely. Our dinner ended with pretty good black hot coffee and a ok chocolate eclair. The horses were absolutely amazing. The beauty and skill of those gorgeous horses could bring you to tears. The cast were great I lived the show and had a wonderful time. We were in the blue section and saddened our knight did not win. Ten out of ten would totally recommend and ask for Mateo.

For the performance, I give it a five, for the food a 4.5.The performance was amazing. Lots of interaction and sword fights and audience participation. Definitely a lot of jokes given from the queen and her right hand man especially about the “oranges…who doesn’t bring oranges” had me laughing! The horses were beautiful and be sure at the end of the show you go to the right of the exit and you can look through protected class them. The knights do engage well with the audience, and the harder cheer the more your knight fights for you. Be prepared next day to be a little horse. No pun intended. As for the food, it was definitely an experience as you dive into the theme. The chicken was a bit dry, but the potatoes and corn were great. And the soup was a great starter; be sure to let it cool it comes out super hot. You do eat with your hands so be prepared, you can ask for a fork if you wish.I will definitely go back to Buena Park location, it’s definitely my first time going to this type of show and although it’s more focused towards the kids and family; it’s fun for all ages. Loved it!

First time visitors and we had a blast! We arrived ~1 hour before dinner and enjoyed drinks from the bar. Unfortunately, we had to buy glassware to get a drink, and I wish we could have ordered a drink without buying a glass. The show lasted for 2 hours and all of the knights were impressive on horseback. It did not smell like we were in a horse arena, which was nice for eating. The food was okay (baked chicken, potato, corn). We are definitely planning a return trip.

Amazing staff. Amazing performance. I absolutely loved it here. They did an amazing job making me feel welcomed and safe. The food was not nearly as bad as some people say. The characters/performers were professional and despite some hard questions they remained in character and answered honestly. If you are a tourist or a local Medieval Times is a must. 100% would recommend for the young, old, and every age between.

Brought my daughter for dinner and a show... boy what a great time, highly encourage to bring friends and family. Food was tasty and even have vegan options, amazing time, show contains medival games, jousting, and battle scenes, you get to cheer for a colored champion depending on your color seating. Staff was polite and helpful, place was clean and welcoming. We'll definitely be coming back!!!

Great family entertainment, the kids really enjoyed the entire performance. Especially the cool light up swords we bought for them to play along. But make sure your hands are clean before you sit down. In the spirit of true medieval time you’ll be eating dinner with your hands. Doors open an hr before the performances and I recommend buying tickets in advance

Wonderful experience! The only thing not perfect about it was the sound system which made it challenging to hear and understand the actors but this is an extraordinary dinner theater experience with beautiful horses who perform, a falconer sending their bird all around, jousting and swordplay as well as rivalry among each area represented by colors and a knight. This contest of champions was a lot like pro wrestling and was just as much fun. The food was better than I expected in terms of taste and quality and I can't imagine how many rotisserie chickens they produce every year! It must be a thousand a day but they keep the quality!

Show was great. Really entertaining. Food was good. They only offer soda and water to drink. No juices or lemonade or iced tea for people that don’t drink soda.Got the vip package so instead of the cake we got fruit cups with was melon and pineapple. Pretty fresh. They still gave us the cake but looked pretty dry so we didn’t eat it.Some items are over priced and some are moderate. So be prepared to spend a pretty penny.Service was great and staff was very kind.

Took the family here for the first time. We got seated right away. Staff was organized so no confusion which impressed me. Food was not too bad. No complaints. Show had some impressive skills. Just overall enjoyed it. AC was blowing on us the whole time so got a little chilly towards the end but figure it's that cool for the animals.

I took my boys and a friend. We all had a wonderful time. Great food and entertainment. Great value. Fun times with friends and family. Memories that will last. Cheering for the good knights booing the bad knight. Being treated like royalty. They call you me lord and me lady. I got my boys the knighting ceremony. TheyLoved it. They give you a cool certificate of the knighting with an 8×10 of the knighting.. The knights all come out at the end and sign autographs and take pictures with the crowd. It's very nice.

Medieval Times is always fun! What's more fun than dinner and a show?!I've been here more than I'd like to admit in the last few years but it really is fun. Servers or wenches, if you will, are always so kind and on top of stuff. The regular menu is fine, but I highly recommend the vegetarian menu. It's really good! This place is probably best suited for people over the age of 3, I haven't seen any very young kids there, but with the noises and lights I don't think it'd be good for them. My niece and nephew (7 and 5) had a blast.Anyway, it's good for adults, kids, families, boys, girls, and whoever else likes to have a good time.

Second time here and I absolutely love the place! I go during summer camp field trips in a nearby city so the experience is different than most. You have no food selection but just what they gave you which is some really really dry and unseasoned chicken that me and my family didn't much enjoy. Half of the baked potato was decent. Red apple had something off about it on the taste I can't describe. Garlic bread was sooo soft and good! Grandma's sealed cookie bags were great! And a regular water bottle. Entertainment was AMAZING!!! 10/10!!! Staff was really friendly & helpful 10/10!! Really just the food that we couldn't change. . . 2 of my family members starved the whole trip due to refusing to eat the food that was provided.

My right year old daughter was curious, at best - before attending. On the day of our reservation, sitting by the pool I read many low star reviews and got concerned we had made a poor choice..... Not only did the entire family have an absolute amazing experience the food was fantastic if you have a reasonable expectation; remember they are serving a large crowd, so everyone will have their own preference for seasoning. Our entire meal was cooked appropriately and seasoned to accommodate that crowd. The only "negative" is that the desert options (our package came with two) were pretty basic/Costco quality but we were there for the show so that is totally fine.Positives included great service from Serf Aaron who brought us a sheet of foil for my daughter's leftovers when they ran out of boxes, Lord Marshal and the queen were very personable prior to the show, all staff was polite. In character and made sure my daughter was treated like royalty.Tips: Be early, be reasonable, don't be a jerk.No doubt we will be making detours to get back 3-4 more times this year. $200 for a night out with the family is well worth it.... Way cheaper than many other options in the area.Serf Aaron, you rock!

A good place to spend an evening especially if you have kids. The entire experience from the moment you enter the area while you wait to go into the arena until you leave after the show is over everyone is caricature. I recommend taking a sweater or light jacket when you go even if it is hot outside. The arena is kept very cool during the show. The food is good for for serving a large group but not something to rave about. You will enjoy your time if you get into cheering for your knight and they will respond to your enthusiasm the more noise you make. Medieval Times has kept the magic that Disney has lost. I recommend spending some time here going back to a simpler time.

The show was amazing! It was so entertaining that time went by so fast. For supper, I got a cup of tomato soup, half a chicken, half of a big potato, and bread, with a Pepsi. Amazing dinner and show! Everyone stays in character the whole time and really give you an experience of a lifetime! The dinner is served while watching the show. They have a few accommodations for meals and seating. Before the show, you can walk around, buy stuff from their many counters of trinkets, Enjoy a beverage or two from the bars, see the horses, possibly meet the royal family! I know with Covid, things have changed a little, but they make the experience great any way.

This was a really fun experience that I would recommend to someone visiting the area. I went with my 9 year old son and my roommate. We had a great time and I would recommend it.We arrived an hour before the show and walked around exploring everything. There are two bars in the lobby so it was easy to grab a beer and there were plenty of things to walk around and see. There are two large bars set up that sell souvenirs. Most of it is overpriced, but that's not really surprising. We purchased a couple of items and asked the staff to hold on to them until the show was over. The show itself was great. The performers (humans, horses and falcon) were all very talented and did a great job. During the show you're served a decent meal. Ours was a tomato based soup, bread, a half of a chicken, half of a potato, a piece of corn and then a small serving of ice cream. Vegan and veggie options were available by request.Once the combat was over we collected our souvenirs and drove home. It really was a good time, and the car was filled with conversation about the show and how fun it was.

So. Much. Fun. I haven't been here since I was a wee young lady but my boyfriend and I went to celebrate his birthday and it's just as fun for adults! (The adult beverages made it that much more fun as well!) The alcohol had GREAT prices, and I mean GREAT. And man, they were not kidding when they call it a feast. So much good food! I am vegetarian and the food was delicious for me. We are very excited to go again. I paid for the $15 extra VIP for good seating and I was extremely pleased with out placement. The regular seats however had a great view as well!

Once in a life time experience, upgrade to VIP for 20 dollars more You are able to sit 3rd row, have your name announced, and are provided with a group photo, which would cost the 20 dollars, if you were to buy it there anyways. This performance is outstanding. The food is not great, but the ambiance makes up for it. Please take your children to experience this at least once. I believe ages 7 and up would enjoy it the most.

What a fun night! The staff was friendly and engaging. The food was not gourmet, but still tasty and cooked well. The entertainment was fantastic and the horses were beautiful! Our family had a fun time and we will be back.

I'd recommend going at least once regardless of whether you're an adult or child. You will have the option to pay more for better seating. I think it's worth it for this type of experience. The experience comes with a "feast" which is a decent amount of food that is served quickly. There are also vegetarian options which I heard taste fine.We went during the winter and it was cold inside (just like outside) so if you also go in the winter, dress accordingly.

Delicious food! I’ve been here multiple times trying both the regular feast and the vegan feast. Both are equally delicious and filling. The tomato bisque and garlic bread are a perfect pairing for the appetizer then the chicken, potato, and corn. Delicious. With desert being the vanilla soft serve with caramel. An amazing dinner. The vegan dinner was very refreshing and surprising. The appetizer included hummus with celery and carrots which normally I wouldn’t find exciting however the hummus was very garlicy which I was absolutely delicious the vegetables were fresh and crisp! The three bean soup was very filling and amazing! The desert was fruit which was the perfect sweetness! An amazing experience and that was just the food.

One of the best experiences for us first timers! We were celebrating a birthday so we did the celebratory upgrade and it was absolutely worth it. Walking in, the service was very informative, thank goodness. They told us what we needed to know and where to go, very organized. The games and fighting were amazing. Our very own red knight won! The food was delicious and very filling! I had the regular meal as the rest of my party had the vegan/vegetarian meals. They absolutely loved their meals as well so I'm thankful for that because that's what I was concerned about. I also surprised the birthday girl with a knighting ceremony which was cute! Glad the package came with a group photo that we each all get to take home. I would definitely recommend others to go and will come back again soon!

Really good experience. It was just me and my 5 year old daughter. For her it was magical. They whole eating with your hands was definitely a treat for her.The elaborate show was quite unexpected. I really did not expect such high quality in showmanship. The arena, the sound, the lighting and the seating were just great. I found the experience good. Everyone was friendly and entertaining. At times the main presentation seemed it had a lot of fluff in it to fill time. I wished there was more "games" instead of the demonstrations of horse gallops and trots. That being said I loved seeing the ability of the horses and they seem to treat them well. The food was "okay". Nothing terrible, but if your looking for great food, this is not the place. Was a great experience for the entire family. With five kids between toddler and teenager, everyone had a blast! The VIP package was well worth it to be right up front by the action. The food was great, although we did have to request silverware for our toddler. They stick with the medieval theme all the way through, so you eat with your hands! They do a great job with slaving out different parties and requiring masks.I knew better before hand, but unless you plan on consuming alcohol before you are seated, or shopping for trinkets and toys, it's probably not worth showing up the hour early as recommended.I would highly recommend going at least once if you haven't been before!

Amazing! Simply Amazing. Great time for the family or even a date. The show was really great and the food was wonderful! I went with my wife and we dressed up and I was knighted and the staff are so nice. You can tell they love their jobs. From the horse dances and the costumes to the storyline and the Sparks flying with each sword strike it was so entertaining. When I heard they didn't have eating utensils I was a bit nervous, but they don't serve food that you would need those for anyway. I am definitely going back. See you there Lords and Ladies!!!! If you're in town and want something fun to do I highly recommend doing Medieval Times! The food was great, when looking at reviews there was a lot of 50/50 about the food but man, I'd eat that again in a heartbeat. The chicken was cooked perfectly and moist, definitely need a lot of napkins. The potatoes were delicious, the garlic bread was GREAT. Didn't eat any of the tomato soup but my friend said it was really good. The wenches were lovely and definitely do their jobs amazingly considering how many people they have to serve. This was my first time going and my knight (black & white) made it memorable by giving me the first rose of the night ?. I would so go again.Unfortunately the museum of torture was closed when I went.

We came here to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday surprise birthday that is had a real good time the show is very good the actors were very good and plenty of horses to go around. The dinner was pretty good but they bring each entry separately so you really don't get a feel of the whole dinner it's just like one piece at a time first the soup then the bread and the chicken and the dessert probably every good 10-15 minutes they give you one course. But you probably won't notice that with the distraction of the show. They do so daggers swords and plenty of stuff for the kids so bring your wallet and plenty of money so you can waste it. Besides that go ahead and have a good time.

A little kitschy, but not bad! Medieval Times is colorful and vibrant representation of its namesake and has been a Buena Park establishment for a long as I can remember! The live entertainment is enjoyable, food is nothing special (although eating exclusively with your hands is fun), atmosphere and setting are very nice to look at. It's great for families outting nights and for couples looking for a loud exciting evening full of memories.

Eating with hands, who does not like that??? Food ok but you should not be so picky. Recommended recommend. Do we have this in Europe *think* äh... no? So: Book it!

Great time with the family. Food was better than expected, and everyone from the waitress to all the actors were gracious to answer questions and take photos. Best advice is top just get into the fun and root for your knight and laugh a lot.

Found a Groupon deal for about $43 each person including taxes and fees. Made reservations online. We were assigned which section to sit and cheer in. The show was entertaining and the food was pretty good too! You pretty much eat everything with your hands so that was interesting. Never experienced eating a multi-course meal in a castle so it was overall a pretty cool experience!

Well, it's a dinner place. So a nice lady, who strangely wants to be referred to as a "wench" will bring you a remarkably okay meal for a place serving this many people. When we were there, they had problems with the dishwasher or something, so we had to eat with our hands. But the food was good. But that's not all! There is this big open space in front of you where a bunch of guys (if the ladies here are wenches, they must call themselves bros or something - they didn't specify) ride really big horses around in circles. The bros (?) evidently don't like each other very much because they keep grabbing the prop weapons from the walls and trying to kill each other. Fortunately, they are no better with their weapons than those guys in the Westerns or Star Wars, and no one really gets hurt. The dust on the floor must be slippery, though, because they fall dramatically a lot. The horses are pretty though, and don't fall over. Just the bros. Dudes? Anyway...But the food is good. Tip your server.

Awesome, entertaining, and fun for the whole family. Even has a museum of torture...if your into that kind of history. Went there 27 years ago and had enjoyed it then..this time was even better. Staff were great and performers were fabulous. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I come here about once a year. This is a great place to bring friends from out of town. People always tell us "there is nothing like this where we live" The show is always very entertaining and the food is good. It is a unique experience. We like to bring friends that are from out of state. It is a fun night that everyone talks about the next day. Highly recommend

It was so much fun!! The food was delicious and the waiter was so nice and everyone was very helpful in guiding us to our seats since my boyfriend and I were a bit late. Even though the show may seem nerdy, it's actually really fun and entertaining. It's perfect for when you want to do something different from your usual dates. It's great for families and couples.

I absolutely had an amazing time when I went to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament!! The food was delicious! The tournament was exciting. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. From the moment you step into the place I felt like I was in medieval times. I loved it! It’s a must stop when I head back to Cali.

This was a really fun time for me and my boyfriend. We are pretty determined to go find all of the medieval times already us starting here. It's been a remarkable experiment. It's like going back in the old ages. The dinners were okay not a 4-star but decent enough. It was all about the entertainment. Go knights!

Yes, this place is a little "nerdy" but it's also really entertaining and fun! My husband and I watched their New Year's Eve show to celebrate our anniversary and we completely got into the spirit of things, waving our banners and cheering on our knight to victory! Beforehand we saw some of the horses and even a falcon or two. The dinner was good, nothing fancy, but we appreciated that they had a vegetarian option. After the show, we met a couple of the knights and spent a little bit on the dance floor until it was time to ring in the new year, which we did with complimentary apple cider (champagne was also available and complimentary) and noise makers. Overall it was a fun and memorable experience.

Too many good things to say about this place and it’s worth the money to come here to have dinner and watch the shows.I would recommend to at least get the VIP Royalty if you have kids so that they can sit closer to interact. We had a great time on February 15. 2020 when we went there to celebrate Valentine’s day along with our kids.I do like the fact that we ate roasted chicken with our hands...I would highly recommend this place to my friends and everyone.

Absolutely fantastic!! Everyone in our group had a great time from 8 year's old to 80 years old, that doesn't happen often . Food was good desert wasn't what was stated and some said their chicken a little dry but over all couldn't have ask for more. If you haven't been it's worth seeing.

We came here as a family for a birthday celebration. We got the Royalty package. Such a fun family experience that our kids will remember for a long time! The food portions are enormous, you won't leave hungry. The entertainment is amazing too! They put you in different cheering sections so you'll be cheering for your knight to win! They have a lot of additional activities/souvenirs/photos you can add on. You'll leave with your wallet a lot thinner but it truly is a unique experience and worth the splurge if you can swing it.

Seriously the funnest night of my life! I lost my voice I had so much fun cheering for our knight! Wonderful entertainment with amazing talent! The horses are gorgeous and well cared for and the riders are impressive! The food was also really good and the novelty of eating with your hands is more fun than messy. Friendly staff who were able to accommodate our gigantic group of 70+ people. We all had a wonderful time! Thanks, Medieval Times! Go Green Knight!

One of the best Christmas experiences we have had as a family in a long time. We wanted to change it up and do something different for the kids to experience on Christmas instead of worrying gifts and what they wanted and what they got. We thought this would be something different for them to enjoy and we were right. They loved the whole experience from start to finish. They got to meet the Queen and the King of the night and see all the horses and see different swords. Once we got into the arena it was so awesome!! We enjoyed the full course meal that was a concept of what they would have eaten in those days (the kids only ate the corn) and very filling. The service was great and the knights of the show was awesome! Our daughter got one of the flowers from our knight we were cheering for. They make it an amazing show from start to finish and so glad we experienced.
