Love the European feel and the architecture is cute. Most stores were not open when we showed up on a Monday, so that... was disappointing. Only the market and burger stand were open for business. This place is good to visit just for once and that’s all. Everything here including their market and their food are... extremely expensive in compare with the quality of it.For that tray paid $42A potato salad was awful and Pretzel $12 :)For cold and no bun and raw sausage charged me the same as a full sandwich.Either people don’t know how the real German food tastes like or they just want to experience it but this is nothing like what real German food is.Shopping at market for such a high prices is just not right.read more

I used to visit Old World regularly. I then had a horrible experience with a security guard at the parking lot on a... weekend. She tried to dictate certain parking parameters, and became increasingly confrontational after I had proven her wrong [she finally let me speak after continuously talking/yelling over me]. Instead of apologizing, however, she continued her hostility by lingering, talking, and yelling at times in my vicinity [and, obviously, directed at me] even though the issue was resolved by her admitting, to the effect, that she "also knew [the law] all along" [If so, why was she so confrontational in the first place then? Suffice to write that she did not know, and it seems her sensitive ego faced embarrassment when she stood corrected]. Perhaps she was just having an awful day, and was venting her own, personal frustrations. In any case, Old World management needs to either re-train her, or replace her before it loses more business because of her.I will miss the little shops and restaurants, as they are truly pleasant and cozy. There is certainly a Euro vibe. Nevertheless, and no matter how nice a place is, if there is "excrement", there will be a "foul odor". Have a blessed day, everyone!read more

This venue is so fun and versatile. They have a deli, bakery, bar, grocery store, event space, and more. I've been here... for meetings, Irish bands, 80s music, Octoberfest, and Hawaiian festivals. I love that they have so many concerts lined up year round. I've been here when they've had themed food specific to the event type. I love that I can buy my favorite German beer in the grocery store or go to the bar and order a drink. There are a ton of shops, eateries, and coffee within the village. It's just a great place to go shopping or attend an event. When you walk through the cobblestones' streets, it's like traveling back in time to a charming Bavarian village. It's so cute with its German influenced architecture, sweeping awnings, and half timbered structures. I recommend heading to Old World in Huntington Beach.read more
