For more than 135 years, public transit has been serving the San Diego community and helping it thrive. The positive impacts of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) on our communities have been and will continue to be, far-reaching. There are thousands of MTS employees who keep the fleet of nearly 1,000 vehicles maintained and operating every day. There are hundreds of thousands of people inside those vehicles that depend on transit to be productive. The all-electric Trolleys and near-zero emission buses reduce burdens associated with negative environmental impacts. And there are many more facts that show how our public transit system is a vital component to our region.

Why do you guys hire older people or slow drivers for morning shift when people usually have places to be. Some drivers will stay in the bus stops and wait when there’s literally another one 15-20 mins later. So dumb. Can you guys be smarter and get good drivers on those highly used routes.

Sunday June 14, 2024 ZERO stars! Disparities in customer service, biases, racism, abuse of authority, harassment of black people, harassment of homeless people. I have seen them let students, travelers, and non black people stay on without a ticket. I have seen them only ask certain passengers to show their tickets. I've witnessed a woman abusing her child, a sleeping passenger getting robbed, people using drugs, drinking, smoking, selling stolen goods, all while on the trolley, and security never seem to be around. Within the last two weeks I was harassed by two employees. My experiences were unprovoked. I had a ticket, both never asked. One told me I can't ride the trolley all day, and I can't ride without paying. He refused to give me his name. The other asked where I was going, where was I coming from, questioned that I had fallen asleep, he was trying to intimidate me, and was gaslighting a non situation. He even mocked me and said here is his Id number so I can complain about him. I had to be firm in knowing my rights, then I dismissed him, said we were done and to have a great night. About 30 minutes later he arrived on the train with three additional workers and had one of them sit behind me. I had to contact the mayors office, our local politicians, MTS, and Intercon. Know your rights and always also go above the company when your rights have been violated. Also always get legal counsel.

They are horrible most of the drivers don't care about passengers they are always rude and angry especially if you are disabled and in a wheelchair they don't ask if you want a seatbelt the buses are always crowded and the bus aisle are blocked with shopping carts and babies in strollers and animals they are told not to say anything they crowd the bus you are abused mentally physically and they're seats stink and are peed on you see people pay 25 cents 50 cents or the majority of people pay $1.50 even if your not disabled or a senior they don't ask for id's when we law abiding citizens have to go thru hoops to get our doctors to sign our paper work others just pay what they want the disabled are discriminated the cameras are a joke they don't look at the proof they n lie and discrimination with the American disability act is disrespected this bus company is the worst in the country when you call to compliment a good driver they don't give them the acknowledgment they lie I got pushed several times and the driver put his hands on me they're angry and always speeding the bus restraints are very old and when you say something the majority of the time they say we know we agree with tou but they'll get fired if they say something if your in a wheelchair they will rather pass you up or leave tou at the bus stop cause they can't and are not allowed to move or say anything these priority seatingnis for the disabled and seniors and most of the time just anyone can sit there and if tou are disabled and have a Pronto card with your picture on it it's a joke and a waste of time I can't stand MTS but i have no other alternative to travels so they SERIIOUSLY DISCRIMINATE THE AMERICAN DISSABILITY ACT AND IM SICK AND TIRED OF THEIR MENTAL PHYSICAL ABUSE.

Mts is hiring bus drivers they need drivers bad if you go to work for mts you will give you $3,000.00 sign-on bonus but you have to stay with them 14 months to get the bonus and it's in payments each month and you work for the federal government mts is federaly regulated

The worst public metro transportation I have ever experienced, some of the mts bus drivers are always late to the stops never on time and if you have to get on a connecting routs to get to work or any type of appointments you will miss the connecting rout about 1 or 15 minutes.

Bus driver shortages do not guarantee you pick up at the times they advertise for pickup. You could be stuck somewhere for 3 hours like I was. It happens at random. MTS is not reliable transit for school, work, or appointments. You're better off getting a ride from a friend or ubering.

BE CAREFUL OF TROLLEY ENFORCEMENT! They are NOT real law enforcement and SDPD Officers do NOT like or respect them! These are people who FAILED the academy but are still given a gun and badge.

Noise PollutionTrolleys/Trams use obnoxious horn throughout the city as a standard procedure when pulling in and out of each stop. This needlessly creates an insane amount of noise pollution. California might have a higher than average rate of intoxicated pedestrians, but elsewhere I‘ve lived tram drivers do not feel the need to employ this practice to prevent accidents. The procedure ruins hotel stays downtown because it goes on in ten minute intervals all night long. Please stop using the horn tram drivers, it’s as unnecessary and obnoxious as New York city motor vehicle drivers constantly using their horn for no apparent reason. If somebody runs out in front of you that’s one thing, but all night long as a preventative measure? Come on!
