This review is for their 1 hour north harbor cruise on a sunny Friday at 12:30PM.I booked tickets the day of online.... Use promo code "AAA" for 10% off for AAA members! Tickets were able to be added to my digital wallet so no printing was required. You can also buy them at their ticket office. Same price online and in person. The ship has snacks and drinks for purchase. They have indoor and outdoor seating available, no assigned seats so you can wander around. The first part of the cruise sailed closer to the pier/airport side of the bay before reaching the part that opens out to the ocean then turns around and sails closer to the navy base. Time flew by, photo ops were great and the guide was knowledgeable. We waited until the day off to book because we wanted the weather to be nice. If you book the 2 hour option, our ship stopped after 1 hour to let off the 1 hour people (us), pick more people up and then proceeded with the south harbor cruise.read more

Was in San Diego for a couple days and wanted to learn about and see some of the shoreline. This was a perfect cruise... for that! I took the 2 hour tour which included both the North and South ends of the bay. Very enjoyable, informative, and beautiful! I did not have any drinks or snacks but I did use the restrooms and they were very clean. I walked around to several areas for varying views. An all around perfect way to start my day!read more

Did a nice 2 hour harbor cruise which was included in the Manchester Grand Hyatt stay. Had a friendly navigator and... historian do the narration as we cruised along the harbor. Wasn't super full of people in the morning with plenty of space to walk around and relax.read more

Your trip to San Diego wouldn't be complete without experiencing the Patriot Jet Boat Thrill Ride. Situated right in... the heart of downtown San Diego, this thrilling adventure lasts approximately 30 minutes aboard an open-air jet boat. They even provide ponchos on the boat to keep you dry, and there's a convenient photo service just before you board the boat. During our visit in early September, it cost $20 for two printed copies of the photos, which is quite reasonable.Parking options are abundant, and I opted for the $20 parking right next to the impressive USS Midway warship. While someone mentioned there's free parking available, it might require a bit more walking, as per my friend's experience.It's a good idea to carry an additional pair of clothes as you might get wet towards the end of the tour.I strongly recommend checking their website for restrictions and guidelines regarding who can and cannot participate. Children under 48 inches tall are not allowed, and all kids must be seated in the middle seats, not on the edge seats.The speed boat tour takes you through the ocean, offering stunning views of the waterlines, military ships, downtown skyline, and the iconic Coronado Bridge. The boat delivers an exhilarating, sporty speed run with unexpected 360-degree turns that will drench you with seawater. Even with ponchos, you might still get wet due to the boat's speed. This adventure is truly one-of-a-kind and, in my opinion, unmatched by anything else in San Diego. If you wear glasses, there's no guarantee you'll return with them, so be cautious. While you're allowed to use your cell phone or camera equipment, I would advise using them carefully. Towards the end of the tour, the staff is happy to help take pictures of your group with your devices, so there's no need to rush.Following the trip, for changing clothes, you can use the restrooms located about a 2-minute walk to the left of the check-in station. Omg I had a ball. Hubby surprised me for bday for dinner cruise and I surprised my sister the next day on the champagne... brunch unlimited mimosas. The staff was really nice both times. I enjoyed the brunch more than dinner too keep it 100. The food on the bunch to me was better than dinner. However the views at night are amazing with the lights even saw fireworks.read more

We went on the Patriot Boat at 11AM and it was so much fun! They played all kinds of music. The views were spectacular.... They take a pic with their camera before getting on the boat with your group or couple and give you the option to buy them after the boat ride. (Two pics for $20, I bought them and glad I did. The pic is already on my wall in my hallway). They also offered to take pics of us in our seats with our own phones when they stopped the boat heading back. Definitely recommend. I loved it!! I would recommend to take cash if you would like to give a tip heading off the boat. They really are awesome, can’t wait to go back.read more

I've done whale watching & the 2 hours (North & South) Bay trips. Amazing!!! Every time! The crew is always friendly,... well-experienced, helpful, knowledgeable just great all around! The trips are beautiful! Sunny days, cold (light rainy) days it doesn't matter. It's beautiful sights, sounds, experience & knowledge you'll always get with Flagship. Seeing whales, sea lions, fighter jets taking off, or just enjoying the beautiful backdrop San Diego has to offer all views are breathtaking. Definitely, a must-due, first date, a family day with the wife & kids, hell if you just need to get away from the world by yourself, this is a great way to do that for 5-6 hours if you do it all at once. You won't regret it!!!read more

it was an amazing experience! went on a tour on December 31at and it was foggy but the guide was reassuring and halfway... into the trip we saw a blue whale twice. it was a breathtaking view. afterwards, we saw many dolphins.the crew was nice, knowledgeable, the snacks good priced, the seats comfy and the ship well maintained. $135 bucks for 4 adult tickets. Enjoyed this hour long cruise of the south San Diego Harbor. We sat on the top level,... it was open air. Fantastic 360 views of the San Diego waterfront skyline and Naval Base on one side and Coronado Island on the other. I was able to get great pictures. The cruise moved slowly so you felt safe walking or standing to take pictures. Snacks and beverages were available for purchase on board. Arrive approximately 25 minutes before your scheduled cruise time, to get in line. Seating is 1st come first serve. So if you want to get a seat and table or just bench seating, you can. Also the guy entertaining us with facts on the area toured was really good too. I recommend.read more

Went out for the brunch cruise. This is definitely worth the price. Spectacular food assortment of a breakfast bar,... custom prepared omlets, crevice bar, taco and meat banquet and of course first class selections of deserts with endless mimosas.The view around Coronado Island and the naval shipyards can be observed without much obstruction insure while you dine. You can also enjoy the views unobstructed on the outside deck.They're very accommodating for people with disabilities. Please note that with a mobility scooter you'll have to have a 38 inch turning radius in order to board. Mine just barely made it. Once on board the ships coordinator saw that I was put on the second floor which was not their fault as the online booking didn't have a disability seating option. We took an hour long North Harbor Cruise in San Diego. It was a nice experience. The Bay is very calm and we were able... to enjoy the awesome views of the city. No motion sickness for my wife!The boat captain Max provided a nice commentary about various sights along the way with historical facts and fun tidbits! I thought that was interesting and valuable!The upper deck can be a little cold ( yes even during a summer afternoon) you may want to come prepared.Tickets/reservations should be done in advance. We could not get a seat on the cruise departing in half an hour.One less star for the smell on main deck where you board the boat. They take pictures of all entering the cruise - perhaps it can be only for those who have interest!read more

We booked an evening dinner cruise. You are taking this trip ($100 per person) for only the ambience of being on the... water. Do not think you're getting a good meal. Me and my girlfriend went here on a Brunch Cruise for our two year anniversary and it was absolutely amazing.The food... was great, they had a full selection of breakfast from waffles to French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, ham and so much more. They also had plenty of lunch options as well. The food was great and the view of San Diego was gorgeous coming from visitors who had never seen the city previously. Bottomless mimosas as well which were great. Service was some of the best we’ve ever as well. Shoutout to Christian our waiter he was amazing. We had a BLAST in this car! We did the Coronado tour and had so much fun that when we returned to the business to... return the car we discussed their other tours and decided to go back out and do the downtown tour too. Seriously, it was our favorite activity. Thank you so much to the staff who were friendly and thoroughly explained the vehicle safety before we went out. We saw some gray whales today! Beautiful weather and great to use with the San Diego go city pass. They have a snack... bar on board but we just brought our own and the 3.5-4 hours flew right by. It gets a little cold out on the water being in January but still very pleasant. I was a little cold with long pants and a sweatshirt so you may want another layer if you want to stand outside the whole time. We went to an indoor lower deck just at the end. Overall a fun experience. In the future if we were to bring our kids I think this might be a little long for younger children. Knowing my kids I would say kids under 12 may be bored and expect to see more whales and tricks. If they're expecting that, just do Sea World. But if they're content with a peaceful trip out on the ocean and glimpses of whale's tales, coming up for air and a few sea lions, they'll enjoy it.read more

My last evening is San Diego was well spent taking the evening cruise bought at Groupon. Purely luck based but my... experience closed off with a spectacular sunset and a giant moon appearance by mountains. Seals also can be spotted! The animal not the military unit. My sister and brother in law were in town so we decided to take this tour. They loved it and so did we! The staff was... super accommodating: We ended up missing our first boat, but the woman at the ticket booth rescheduled us to the next tour with no issues. The views were gorgeous and it was really neat to learn about some of the historical and famous landmarks around the bay. The champagne brunch cruise is hands down a wonderful experience. Definitely a worthy tourist type activity in San... Diego. Even if you're a local, it is the perfect experience for a special occasion. My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday and had a prime table on the top deck of the cruise (bring sunscreen!). Lots of really good champagne and a delicious breakfast included. We had Caesar as our waiter, he was super attentive and hardworking making sure we all had everything we needed. The views were beautiful and it was a super calm, steady ride floating along the waterfront and under the Coronado bridge. It's safe to say Flagship exceeded my expectations, you get the bang for your buck with this experience!read more

Did the full, 2 hour harbor tour and greatly enjoyed it. Very laid back time but saw many of the sights that I'd seen... from the shore, but now from the water. Great photo ops for downtown skyline views and many Navy ships and aircraft flying around. Tour guide was knowledgeable and pleasantly corny sense of humor. Many interesting anecdotes about the buildings and islands we passed. Highlight for me was seeing all of the Navy ships. Many are seen that aren't visible from the shore, at least not that I've ever seen. Overall, this was a good value and quite enjoyable.read more

We really enjoyed our 2 hour tour which includes the north and south tour. They gave the history of the island of... Coronado and the history of the naval and marine bases. Really cool. And off in the distance you could see the islands of South Coronado miles away. Really good price for this tour. Also was a bit chilly when we headed into the wind, would recommend a jacket or sweater. We did this mid September.read more

I've sailed with them previously and enjoyed it, so I was trying to purchase four tickets for my guests.i walked alone... to the booth to get the tickets.So I wasn't a customer yet this time but probably never will be again since I had a negative customer service experience just asking for information. I asked the girls working there for information and told them that I was hearing impaired and only read lips. They proceeded to talk with their masks on. I stepped back and said please lower your masks and tell me what you just said and one said no the other one walked away like she didn't have the patience to deal with me. The other started yelling whatever she was saying with her mask on with a definitive tone. I then apologized and explained again that I read lips and won't understand no matter how loud she spoke. She just stared at me at that point.So I walked away and purchased a cruise from Hornblower / City Cruises for my party of four instead. They were much nicer and we enjoyed that cruise.The staff need sensitivity training for customers who are deaf or hard of hearing. I'll go to Hornblower from now on.read more

I had a fun time on this cruise! Went in mid- August of 2021 and did the North Bay and South Bay (about two hours... total). Saw a ton of stuff including Coronado Bridge, sea lions, a nuclear sub in port and countless different kinds of ships from the U.S.H.S. Mercy to huge USMC troop transport vessels. My ticket was less than $40 and it was money well spent. The cruise ship has 3 decks and the tour is well narrated so you understand what you are seeing. I thought two hours was just right to see everything. Great experience - fun for parents, kids and people of any age. This is an especially good thing to do if it is your first time visiting San Diego.read more

Our first time taking the kiddos on a family sight seeing cruise. They enjoyed seeing everything from the water. Abe... took a group pic. Very courteous. 😉During the second tour, the snack bar cashier was rude. I was next in line & he asked who's next? I said hello? I'm right here. 🤦♀️ Order sodas for my boys. He filled the cups full of ice, and not full of soda. For the next two drinks, I said light ice. And he only put 4 cubes. 😩Overall experience was great. ☺️read more

Great cruise, ok food experience, and overall poor service. However, I think it was only our waiter that was the... problem. I did notice that the other servers were attending to their guest very well. We had to look for our server multiple times to order appetizers and drinks. Furthermore, he was very leisure about serving our section the courses. The prime rib was good, just a bit cold, salad and dessert were fantastic. The cruise started at 6:30 and ended at 9:00. This was perfect to see the bay by daylight and end the night by the city skyline. I would do this again just sans our last server.read more

This is a very fun cruise on a great boat. I suggest take both the North and South cruise, and go as late as possible... in hopes of sunset photos under the Coronado Bridge. If you take your camera, be sure to get a spot in the bow of the boat to be able to get photos without other passengers in them. Also, look for the Navy dolphin (LIVE DOLPHIN) being trained from a zodiac. Pretty neat trip, reasonable price as well.read more

Beautiful views, good service, interesting information, draft-beers and cocktails available, plus you get to go under... the Coronado Bridge, which is cool. 👍 Walk over to Seaport Village when you're done and get a tasty 32-oz. Make sure you arrive early so you can choose the best seating. This was our first trip and we enjoyed the relaxing... atmosphere. Took a morning trip and left us wanting more. Prior to boarding you’ll be asked for a group photo. We purchased our photos for $20. We will return for the whale watching tour, and we’ll try to be early to get a good seat. Adult beverages were available as well as hot dogs. We didn’t partake but the option is there.read more

My gf left her phone on the Ferry on the way to Coronado. I talked to the next Ferry that showed up and the immediately... radioed to the Ferry we rode on. Had an amazing time in our 60 min boat tour. Definitely could have gone for longer. Plan to in the future. Boat was... clean and easy to distance, not too meant on board. It was a smooth ride and they served drinks and some lunch foods such as hamburgers and hotdogs.You can however bring your own snacks and drinks, my fiance and I brought a small bag of snacks and water bottles and that suited us. We came down for the weekend and was a bit weary on how busy the boat will be. But the crew did a great job cleaning... and disaffecting the area. They reminded us to wear masks and practice social distancing. The tour was also pretty nice, learned a bit about San Diego while getting some amazing views. We did the 2-hour tour into sunset and it was best choice. Would recommend and will be doing it again when family or friends come visit!read more

We got a great deal on the 2 hour harbor tour. For the price it was worth it. I don't think I would have ever paid... full price for it though. With that said, it was informative. Improvements could maybe be to offer more seating. It is at a snail's pace which is fine for some but those with kids will need to keep them engaged. The snack bars are just that, snacks at a bar. They have more alcohol drinks to choose from than food. The upstairs bar serves alcohol, sodas, waters, chips, candy, uncrustables (PB&J) and other small snacks. The downstairs bar has all of the same but also had packaged cake, muffins, cookies and a charcuterie board. Expect prices for food/drink to start at $2.50 on up to around $20 as of Sept 2020. I'm not sure about the price of alcohol because we didn't have any. Pro tip, you can bring your own food and drink on board. I packed a few healthy snacks and a juice box in reusable lunch packs for the kids. They do a bag check as you are boarding. Don't forget the sunscreen. The top deck can get pretty hot without a breeze flowing but you'll want to protect your skin either way. You also might want to pack the hand sanitizer. It was a beautiful day so the cruise showed San Diego harbor well. I would take any visitors from out of town on this trip again.read more

Took my father for his Birthday. My Mom and my 5 yr old also was with us. We had the prime rib dinner and it was... excellent! Our server Marco was exceptional and overall was great, will recommend and I will definitely be going again in the future. Love the tour, tour guide was informative & funny, social distancing, well hard to do when people want to see & take... pictures over your head.I really enjoyed the views, history & cool water breeze, I would suggest, unless you run hot, bring a light sweater or jacket. We did the premium dinner cruise and had an amazing time. I highly recommend paying for the open bar, it makes for a... great time! I went during the pandemic so the dining was on the deck. Took the prime rib Sunday dinner cruise. This was the highlight of our trip. We got a great railing table. We had... plenty of space. We ordered a bottle of champagne and they had it waiting on ice at our table. California Spirit left at 630 and returned at 9pm. Amazing views of SD and Coronado Island. Great service. Everyone was attentive and helpful. Thanks for having us! Prime rib itself was undercooked but, I didn't care, I was having too much fun.read more

This review is for the Sunday Brunch Cruise. Limited menu with decent food, service was unattentive, things were flying... everywhere and one umbrella snapped and hit a waiters head (no more shade). I got a really bad sunburn and the service was slow. We had to ask everytime for the juice for the mimosas. Not very comfortable and had a glass fly off the table and soaked my dress. I get they are trying to adapt with covid but they were very disorganized. They commented several times as the competitors ships passed by on how they needed shade awnings like them to us. I made reservations for the cocktail sunset cruise for my boyfriend' early birthday present.Overall, it was everything... I expected !FOODThe champagne was delicious- I got 2 glasses!The charcuterie board has a lot more things than I thought it would. And it was nicely topped off with 2 chocolate covered strawberries per person at the end.BOATWas clean, smooth and very spacious. Especially right now with the pandemic. The tables were spaced out and it didn't feel too crowded or unsafe.They provided hand sanitizer stations in the cabin and the bathroom was very clean. SERVICEOverall, was good. The people working there were friendly but seemed very busy. CONS- A lot of flies inside the cabin- Our server wasn't as attentive. It seemed like he was up and down all the floors of the boat.We wanted to order drinks but no one came to our table and the bar was constantly busy. We did this on my birthday. I and my husband (fiancé back then) did this. We both had fun! It is so romantic too. I... highly recommend this to everyone. So cheap and affordable, just buy it on Groupon and they accept it. The clerk who processed our tickets is so fast and she warmly greeted us. The captain is so kind and accomodating, they even took pictures of us. The person who did the tour is excellent, he pretty much know a lot of things in San Diego. He also has a really nice voice. It's like reminding me on the 70's. Gives a retro vibe.read more

We went on the Brunch Cruise on June 28th 2020. Boarding the ship was staggered to allow for social distancing between... groups of people. The employees all had on masks and I saw them constantly disinfecting door knobs, etc. Due to the limited number of people allowed on the ship and large spacing between tables it felt like we had the upper level dining area to ourselves. The food, drinks, and views of Coronado were great.Overall it was a nice experience and seemed very safe during this ongoing pandemic.read more

The signage and social distancing markings were adhered to while in the harbor. Once we were underway more than half of... the passengers removed their masks. Even with the reduced number of passengers, it became increasingly difficult to find some place to sit or stand where someone wasn't near me without a mask. I wondered why they weren't enforcing their policy untilon the top deck I realized there were staff members without masks.Over the years I have brought several guests with me on these tours and everyone has always enjoyed it. I never mind going again and again. But I'm done until after the pandemic there are plenty of places that enforce the mask regulations where I'll feel safer and healthier. No matter how great a tour is it's not worth getting sick over.read more

Father's Day Brunch Cruise was not what we expected. Brunches include a vast array of endless food offerings. One small... serving of fruit and baked pastries. Entree was included which was a limited selection and bottomless mimosas. Our wait time to be served was extremely long and we were not checked on as regularly. There was a guy walking around singing who I observed only went to tables where people of color were not sitting. We ordered chicken and waffles. Our chicken was undercooked and the meal was cold. My friend ordered the Reuben Sausage sandwich and was not impressed. The flatbread salmon appetizer was cold. It lacked the experience I wanted my husband to have on Father's Day. I would not do it again with this company.read more

If you’re on your own you’ll see everything in 90 minutes. The exhibits are thoughtful and beautiful, however... everything is small. The best part was easily the sea horse exhibit. I had no idea they grew so big. Overall I’m glad I went and perhaps if I had small children I would feel differently. I had a good experience.read more

We went on the Marietta ship which was one of their smaller fleets and we really enjoyed it! We went on the whale... watching tour in first week of January. We saw a gray whale and several white sided dolphins along with sea lions. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure they went to every guest to educate on the whale that we saw and even took a picture of my husband and I for us!read more

Such a relaxing experience. When my parents and I visit San Diego, this is our first activity. I love the hour-long... harbor tour. I've seen porpoise, sea lions and pelicans. Great photo op of all the Navy vessels and picturesque downtown. The staff is first class. This tour never gets old. Don't forget to bring a light jacket.read more

It is such an enjoyable experience. The food was wonderful. The service is spectacular. The DJ is great. Just ask for a song and they play it for you.
