Oh man AVOID. We showed up at 3:20 PM (they close at 6) and were told we couldn’t rent any kayaks or stand up paddle... boards because “it takes too long to put them away.” I’m sorry, if you won’t rent us anything over 2.5 hours before you supposedly close you need to change your hours. Absolute ridiculous and unprofessional. And yes, the rental would’ve only been for 90 minutes.read more
Stay away from this place. Don't rent from here as they can't even show up to open their doors on time. Went there... this morning 12/8/22 at 10:45 and they were not open. Hours posted on the door tells u they r open on Thursdays from 10:30am to 4pm. I guess they r just too good to actually open on time.read more
The man who helped us was extremely unhelpful. He first told us we couldn’t add a burley to our electric bike and a... nice lady informed us we actually could. Once given the bikes we started riding only to find out 2/6 bikes were about to die one bikes tire was almost flat and the other bike did not go over 15mph when the rest of the bikes went 24mph. We had to return to the shop to fix all the issues in the middle of the ride. The same man then complained to a coworker that we came back with “too many questions”. Then when we went back out one of our bikes died and he had to petal all the way back with the burley attached carrying two kids. The same man again asked how our ride was and when we said it died in us he said “oh sorry” then went back to work. Very unprofessional and not helpful at all. The ride was fun while we were out but too many difficulties. Definitely don’t recommend.read more
Nice enough location and a lovely bike loop, but this shop has terrible safety standards. Most of the helmets had... something wrong with them. One of the ones we ended up taking was missing the foam inside that keeps it in place so the fit was completely unsafe. It was probably the fifth helmet we tried on before giving up on getting a safe helmet. Similarly, all the brakes were loose enough to squeeze them to the handlebar before they engaged. I tried at least 3 bikes before giving up, and one of the staff had to leave to go deliver a bike to another customer that had brake issues. Staff watched us try on unsafe gear and did nothing to fix it except give us a new, equally unsafe option. I don't think gear is maintained at all, as the gear that we deemed unsafe was just added to the rest of the rental pile. I said something to staff at the end of the tour and nothing was done to rectify the situation.read more
Ask if they have an air pump to fill air in the tires. They didn't have an air pump at a bike rental shop!!! Ours were... pretty flat which made for difficult riding. The employees were helpful and nice but our experience was not good.read more
Our tour guide was really good, but they tell you to come 45 minutes early so we did. After signing a waiver and... getting a locker we were told to walk around for 30-40 minutes. 45 minutes early seems very excessive. Otherwise, it was good.read more
Six mile recommended trail which was so fun going to Coronado Hotel and going through beautiful neighborhoods!!! 9... bucks for an hour, sold to me.read more
Great location, but literally the worst bike I have ever rented. And I have rented many, many bikes. They gave me a... beach cruiser that was likely older than I am. Brakes barely worked. Seat wobbled. The bike kept listing to one side. The bike lock fell apart when I tried to lock it.I’ve rented from this place before, years ago, and had a great experience, with salespeople who knew bikes and knew the island. This time I had teenagers who couldn’t answer my questions, didn’t have any maps, and gave me a bike that I wouldn’t let my kid ride, even for free. Won’t be back.read more
My husband was in San Diego for meetings and a small group of spouses of attendees went on a bike tour of Coronado with... Bike and Kayak Tours. We had different bikes, mine was old school and I had to remember how to stop by pedaling backwards. Some bikes had handbrakes, one had gears. Our guides, Spencer and Ben were helpful and accomdating. They were knowledgable about Coronado. They were patient as some of us had not ridden bikes in some time. We were each given a large bottled water and had the option for helmets. We need to cut our time short a bit to catch the ferry back due to a dinner reservation but they adjusted the tour and when one person asked about seeing the Hotel Del up close, they said we would be back about 15 minutes later than planned but still in time for the ferry. It was a great stop to see the hotel and the beautiful beach. One guide would stay out in the street to make sure we all crossed safely and one was always with the last person in the group. Would definately consider using them again on a future visit.read more
18 days after I emailed them and 8 days after I texted them and no response. We rented electric bikes in Coronado on... 9/30/21. I didn't know why I was having such a hard time when I first got on, and then I fell. I tried riding again, but still had trouble. My boyfriend then noticed that the chain was off. I took it back and was given another bike. At that point, I tried but I was too scared I was going to fall again. I was told there were no refunds. My boyfriend enjoyed his experience, but given the circumstances and the fact that I fell because I was given a dangerous defective bike, I strongly believe I should receive a refund for my portion of the rental.read more
My friend had the worst time getting clarification on a change in her kayaking appointment. The employee working the... phone on 9/27/21 at around 9am was very short with her, condescending, and refused to help clarify when she was having her paddle boarding session. He did the same when her boyfriend called to also figure out what had happened to their appointment.Just about the worst customer service. They weren't able to make their session... how do they go about a refund or a rescheduling without speaking to the same person who didn't want to be at work?read more

It was a nice little kayak tour, very nice way to see the city from a different angle. I did the quick 2 hour kayak... tour around the bay. Worth the time and price. The staff were mellow guys, very friendly and helpful. My tour guide Luke was great. I happened to be the only person on the tour, so made for a unique experience. I'm guessing most (at least weekday tours) are all pretty small and personable.read more
