We had a large group of 20 people and it was a lot of fun - we drive right on the road as a group. Highlight was crossing the bridge to Coronado. Beautiful views from a unique perspective. Bring sunscreen and sunglasses though! We booked an hour but I think we should've made it longer!

Loved loved loved my GoCar experience!!! I was so scared of knowing how to maneuver the car and getting lost. Grant it, I got lost bc there was a Detour but the staff helped get me back on track. It was such a nice way to tour the city and the GPS lady is quite funny. I would definitely do it again!

As a group of 4 we took out 2 go cars double seater. Great service, friendly and very informational with guidance on how to use the gocar and what to do if any problems occured while on the tour and the GPS service was very useful to pay attention to certain areas on our tour of San Diego downtown area. Oh the bluetooth music connection gave us a little more enterainment while cruising the streets. A little lock box on the back of the goCar to hold our purse was a plus. When we return the guy took multiple pictures of us as a group. Awesome and Amazing views 10 out of 10 stars.

Tiffany who helped me on the phone was awesome with helping me. Calvin in the office was fantastic. He helped us feel comfortable, made sure we new what to do and to reach out for help.(which I called in 2 times due to sound issues - which he was able to help with) He has a personality which was really nice, since sometimes people in the office are stiff and not interactive at all. I would leave a little time to explore balboa because there is so much to do. I wouldn’t pick between the two because the cars are a lot of fun. If need be go and spend another day there.

I absolutely love this company and their fat tire scooters. Me and my girlfriend use them today and had an absolute blast. We are looking into purchasing two scooters if possible. These things are so fun and easy to ride. We booked the three hour ride tour and was able to see all of downtown San Diego, Balboa Park and parts of Mission Beach. I highly recommend, you try the Scooters, it’s one of the best ways of getting around during the summer

The guided scooter tour was impressive. The technology worked flawlessly the entire time and was an ideal tour guide. The scooters themselves were great and we continuously heard "nice ride" or "where did you rent those" from people we passed by in the street. And more importantly, the scooters help us cover a lot of ground during our 2 hour tour. They were easy to operate and handle - even for those in our family that had never scootered before. The staff was great, accommodating and answered all our questions. They made us feel appreciated before and after the tour. This was our first time using GoCar tours. It was a perfect sunny and cool temp day for our too. We had four in our party, and we rented 2 cars. We had so much fun! Most drivers on the road were very polite and let us cross intersections together. There was a couple of drivers who were determined to slide in the lane between us even though there was plenty of room in the other lanes for manuvering and turning. Some people are just going to be like that though. Most people pulled their cameras out and waved. ??

Yeah it’s kind of expensive, and I was a little worried that it wasn’t going to be that good , but this turned out to be a REALLY fun way to play “tourist in our own city”. The tour itself is kind of flexible, so you can go at your own pace.The guided GPS has really good timing with speaking at the right moments, it’s easy to hear, and it didn’t take us through a bunch of busy streets so that we were able to maximize our time. And this was on a Saturday afternoon. I learned a few facts that I didn’t know and we even stopped for ice cream. We could have stopped for lunch if we wanted to.Finally, the Vanderhall car was extremely enjoyable to drive. It’s not slow at all; I was absolutely thrilled when I heard that familiar “vrrrm TSSSHHH” sound as I accelerated. Zipping around the coast in that thing on such a beautiful day turned out to be well worth it.

Drive itself wasn't bad, but I still don't understand why I should use 2 go city passes + child seat($10) for only one car driving with child. The female staff was so aggressive in terms of speaking, so I just drove with my son while my wife waited for 1 hour in the small shop without doing nothing . They should've refunded 1 go city pass or at least child fee.

Taking the audio tour through Balboa Park was really fun! Friendly employee showed us how to drive the car and the path to take.There were storms the day before, which we were told impacted the charge on the car. It was frustrating that they weren’t charged before we arrived and had to wait. Also, we weren’t warned about the phones overheating. I understand they are in the sun - but we lost the GPS/tour for some time waiting for them to cool down.Would have been a great experience without those factors. Fantastic way to see San Diego!

It was definitely a unique experience. I thought it was going to be like driving a car, but it’s more like operating a motorcycle. It took a little getting used to, but once I got the hang of it, it was fun. The gps does sometimes give last minute directions so be prepared to change course. Also, there is no way to complete the hour tour in an hour unless you don’t encounter any red lights. There are so many lights and stop signs…you would have to go 45miles/hr to complete the course, so expect to pay extra for going past your allotted time. I was surprised at how fast the car actually goes. Great way to see the sights!

This was so much fun!! I was a bit nervous at first, but Kelvin took his time & explained everything! He was awesome!! I loved the fact that it was a GPS guided tour. We went through so many beautiful and historic neighborhoods in San Diego. The GPS audio gave historic facts along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour!! The next day we did the fat tire scooter rental. Helmets are required for this ride. No GPS was provided, but our host had us put Fiesta Island in our phone. It was a nice & safe route. It was July 4th, so the beach was busy. I would recommend this tour as well.

We’re locals to San Diego and decided to try this fun tourist experience. The GPS was great at navigating. We learned a lot of information about places in our town that we didn’t know. We enjoyed taking streets and driving through neighborhoods we haven’t seen before. We upgraded to the sports model and are glad we did. We had a great time and would definitely recommend.

This was our second time renting the Vanderhall. The first we drove through Coronado Island - stunning scenery and everyone was taking pictures of the car. After our 4 hours was finished we didn’t want it to end. This time we rented for 8 hours and drove to Julian/Temecula. The drive from Julian to Temecula was beautiful and perfect scenic roads for the car. The car guided gps was not needed and sometimes hard to follow - I would suggest you use your phone and pick your route so you can listen to your music. We would definitely do this for a third time - special memory ? Also the staff are excellent - fast, smooth process. Highly recommend!!!!

We had an absolutely great time! We did the night tour and added an extra hour and we're so glad that we did. We laughed so much throughout. There was a learning curve if you're not familiar with the handlebar driving, but Kelvin was awesome at getting us set up and ready to go. Would definitely do it again!

One of the best ideas I have had to do on a trip to a destination I have never been. The GPS vehicle was safe , a great tour guide and such a fun way to view the city. The employees were so so courteous , well informed and prepared you well for your karting tour. I had someone with me that was nervous about getting into a go kart. So the preparation helped the person really enjoy themselves. This is so worth the price. We did our tour in San Diego.

GoCar is a great way to get to know the city better! We were running a bit late but the receptionist was not worried and didn’t rush us at all. Even though we had already booked a rout, he was happy to walk through the other tours with us and let us change our reservation there. He gave us the color car we wanted even though they had already gotten another car ready, and was happy to do so. The standard cars are a little small, so if you’re a bigger person, consider getting two cars or doing the front and back option. The tour itself was really interesting. We’ve lived in this city for years and never knew the stories that were told on the tour. The car was fun to drive and comfortable. I think we’ll come back again to try some of the other routs!

This was our first experience with Go Car and it was awesome. We showed up a little late in the day and only had time to book a 1 hour tour. It took us a total of 70 minutes with 1 stop for a picture at the pier. Billy’s customer service and expertise on various locations was top notch and highly recommend booking with him if possible. We will definitely be returning in the future in order to rent one of the larger vehicles or scooters. 10/10!

The young lady at the front counter was very sweet and very tolerant of my nervous dog. We got a little lost on the track but she helped us get right back, and the gentleman that's outside explaining the functions of the cart is very nice, helpful, and patient. We would definitely try this experience again, just for height and comfort for my older parents, we would upgrade to the newer cart.

I would recommend going straight through the company. This 3rd party site charged me 80 something per person instead of per car considering it seats 2 people. Fun and informative , you don’t realistically have time to stop and take pictures on 2 hour tour, and the drive-through the zoo parking lot is unnecessary and time consuming.

This is our second time on this experience. We love doing it. You get to see so much of San Diego that you normally wouldn't. There are a few different routes which makes it great. The cars with the GPS map on board is great. Prices are reasonable. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend to everyone. Such a great experience!

It was fun riding GPS guided go car. It is so small that you have to adjust but driving was very fun. It reminded me of Auto Rikshaw in India. It makes too much noise that, everyone one the road gives attention to us when driving. We were able to cover two hour path including some stops to take pics. Can see both old and new town of San Diego in one shot.

If you're looking for a fun 2-3 hours to spend in the sun, this is definitely worth checking out! My friends from out of town came in and we rented two of the electric vehicles, absolutely worth the upgrade. Such an awesome experience and a great way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time. The GPS tour is wonderful, full of interesting information and easy to navigate if you get off of track. The vehicles are super clean, in great condition and fun to drive. 10/10 worth doing. Also, Merlin is wonderful, he will take great care of you, so ask for him if you go!

My wife and I experienced the GoCar rides for San Diego and it was amazing. Our first time in San Diego this was definitely an experience for the books. The ride was easy and there was a recorded tour and pinpoints for more info about SD. The staff was nice and professional. They were very patient and just chill people that helped us feel more comfortable about being in a new place. This is a wonderful way to see the sites of San Diego the cars are clean and safe. The planned route is fabulous you will see the historic areas and museums. The tour of the Marina and the Naval ships is exciting. The electric go car is so fun and you have the independence to enjoy yourself.

This was SO much fun, I highly recommend it. We live here in San Diego but hadn't gotten a chance to really see the city. We rented the moped scooters and drove around for 2 hours. The tour is guided and gives you historical facts about each major location you pass. I think the scooter is a way cooler way to see the city and 2 hours was way too short. I think you should book the scooter for the entire day and ride it around, stop, have lunch, grab paleta, go on a longer tour route. It's totally worth it so you're not rushed to return it on time and really get to take in the city. We will definitely be doing this again when our family visits. Thanks to the awesome staff too!

Get the Vanderhall Roadster. It is worth the upgrade. A lot more room and extremely stylish. You don't look like a tourist. You look like you are a local and cool. Great staff and communicated with me that there was a delay on my car. A must do as you find things that you normally wouldn't without a lot of research or stopping and getting out, reading stuff.

The ride (The Patriot speed boat) is not that scary at all. At least for me it wasn't. My wife was worried that the parents of two small children. We (I) was putting our life in danger. I didn't. It is perfectly safe. High speed fun with music to accompany the ride. We didn't get wet that much. You know it's fun when it's over too soon. Those jet engines sound great.

I prepaid for my reservation, when I showed up late they had already given away my rental. Being that I prepaid for the rental I would have expected there to be a car available even if I was late. They then deducted the time that it took to get a new rental off my time.They focus on maximizing profits not honoring the clients who have prepaid for a reservation

This was so much fun! It was a great way to see the city and learn some cool trivia. We had a lot of fun! Definitely recommend. Tip: avoid potholes!

First time going. The girl at the front was super energetic and sweet. The actual gocart is user friendly and fun to operate, not to mention pretty fast. My only issue is the GPS screen is mounted under the dash on the passenger footwell. I took my eyes off the road several times to look down at the screen and make sure I stayed on course. However, the audio volume is adjustible and quite helpful. Nonetheless, it was a blast. Highly recommend!

Marlinnnnnn honeyyy made sure our day was made. They closed at 5 we got there at 530. He did not have to wait for us or could have turned us away but he graciously stayed until 630 for us to do the go carts ! This place is GREAT

Such a fun thing my boyfriend and I did together. We did the scooters to Coronado Island and had so much fun. We are definitely planning on coming back.

A decently good time. The navigation system isn’t very good and one of the speakers in the vehicle wasn’t working so with the loudness of the vehicle, the road, and the wind it was impossible to hear. Because it was so difficult to hear it was difficult to follow the navigation therefore we got off of the guided tour various times. Once you get off track the navigation offers zero help you get you back on track. It just stops talking and does not redirect you. It could have been a very cool and fun experience but unfortunately it was subpar.

Great way to see the San Diego if you’re new here and want to know the good spots to visit later on! Brought my husband for his birthday and he enjoyed it very much. I suggest bringing a sweater we were popsicles at the end. Overall great prices and very fun! Would do it again!!

This was amazing!!!! We loved it! It was so neat seeing the city buy scooter!!! My teenagers loved it!!! Would recommend to everyone!!! In fact I want yo do this in every City!!!

The two of us rented one of the Gocars and went on the hour tour. The woman who checked us in seemed in a rush and told us to hurry back before it got dark. We started our tour and everything seemed great until we noticed that our tour seemed to go on and on. It started to get dark and we started to get worried for our safety due to not having any headlights. At about 5:15 we called in because our tour map was still going. The guy said we took the wrong turn and followed the wrong color line. We never were told what to follow except just to follow the map. We told him we worried about our safety driving back due to not having lights. That is when the man mentioned to us that there were headlights. No one ever told us this nor was this ever mentioned in the training video!!!! When we got back, we explained exactly what we did and how we were late. He accused us of taking the wrong turn and acting as if we did this on purpose (although we had picture of the map and when we called in). He ignored the fact that we mentioned several times and had even called prior to arriving about our safety. He said that because we were late that we were going to get charged for the extra time. He saw that we were getting upset and said have a goodnight rushing us out. We asked who was the manager and he finally said he was. It wasn’t until then that he said he wouldn’t charge us for the extra time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this FACILITY. THE STAFF DO NOT care for your safety. The manager is rude and not professional at all.

We arrived in the morning and were able to rent a Go Car right away. Marlon was very helpful and professional.A word of warning, the routes seem impossible to do in the allotted time and it is a dollar a minute if you go over. We were fortunate in that we know San Diego and did the half hour route, it still took an hour to do it which is what we were allotted time wise.It was super fun and we had lots of people smile, wave, and give the thumbs up!!!I totally recommend this!

What better way to tour sections of the city than to get your own Go-cart. We upgraded to the fully electric car. It was amazing. The navigation was great and the automated tour guide was informative. We really enjoyed ourselves and the scenic views.

super friendly people, got us all set up for a few hours of fun with a tour around San Diego. They even held our luggage for us as we were catching a flight later that day. Excellent service and very helpful!!!

Just finished our tour ! Brought my mom for her birthday and my sister(: We aren’t originally from San Diego but always visit the area and always find ourselves at the same spots. So I thought it would be cool to explore San Diego in a different Way and this was the perfect way to do it! We had never done anything like this and it was so much fun ! I highly recommend trying this out, we learned a lot about San Diego that we didn’t know before(: The staff was super sweet and very helpful and made us feel very welcomed !Thanks guys! We will be coming back, hope to see you soon. ☺️

What fun! Zipping around in the GoCar was exciting, informative, and simply a blast! We recommend the Early Bird Tour, you get 3 hours for the price of two. Just do it- you'll love it!

Super fun!! We really enjoyed our tour today. The cars were a blast to drive, the gps tour guide was very detailed and helped along the way. Chris was very helpful getting our group ready to go- he even got a good laugh when we returned and told him about the bird that flew right into my moms head While we were driving hahaAll around really fun experience!

This is a great place to go to have a small tour of the city. The hour tour takes you to Little Italy where you’ll find all the happening food and drink places. You can park the GoCar and grab a bite to eat and the tablet will guide you back to the route. People in vehicles respects the little GoCar so you’ll feel safe while in it. Honk and wave at folks while you drive by to make your time even more fun.

Been stationed in San Diego for 17 years and didn't even know this business was here!! We decided to try it on a whim and it was an amazing experience for us all. The cars/motorbikes were fun to drive and the public was in awe, waving and beeping at us as we followed our tour. Was a great way to get out there through this Covid situation. The guys were friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely do it again. I recommend them to anyone wanting to get out and learn something about this amazing city!.

I’ve lived in San Diego for four years and never really had the chance to explore. These little carts were able to help with that! GPS and storytelling guidance was perfect and helpful. Found a few new spots I didn’t know existed! Worth every penny! Would highly recommend. Super friendly staff as well, had a little malfunction with on of the carts half way through the tour and they responded within seconds and had us in a replacement shortly after.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this, but it was so much fun! We upgraded to the electric vehicle and it was great!!!!We had a blast getting around and seeing everything. We made it all the way down to the tide pools which was super fun too! We will defiantly be back.Also thank you to Marlin who helped us upgrade and made the whole process easy!

Wow.. soo much fun. Were from Dallas and we spent most of the week in San Diego so I got the 1 hr tour, wow was that a mistake. If you do this.. you have to do the 2 or 4 hr tour. The guided GPS is amazing.. so much history and knowledge, and that lil machine is hilarious.

Wanted to try out e bikes before purchase . This company had good rates and nice bikes . Easy to ride and close to bike trails . We went to the beach and it was a fun experience.

Hard to find things to do that are safe during COVID-19. This definitely was a great choice. We rented the electric scooters. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Everyone was wearing masks. They sanitized all of the scooters before we went out. And we had a great time riding around the city, seeing the sights, and enjoying the fresh air, all while maintaining our distance from the crowds. We would definitely do that again - Highly recommend.

LOVEEEE the 2hr tour! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it , we had a mini speaker & really liked the tour all over San Diego , we got to see a lot and got idea of places we’d like to go back to ! Make sure to keep an eye on your map & listen to the directions. Definitely doing this again.

My wife and I did this and it was a lot of fun. We went for an hour and we had to go back before we could finish the tour route. I wish I would have known that would happen and we could have chosen a longer time. Regardless it was still a very fun experience and I absolutely recommend it!

We did this in San Francisco a couple of years ago and it was way fun.. The San Francisco seemed to be more fun than the San Diego tour.. Had 3 carts in our party, one of the GPS audio tours did not work.. The carts ran mediocre.. The electric bikes look like more fun..
